Wedding in Lyon – An elegant wedding in a private villa
What’s better than to tie the knot at home? Stunning garden in Lyon was the background for the dreamy wedding of C&F, a sweet couple living in Lyon. The day was perfectly planned by Day LOve, with exquisite floral design by Amarylice. C’s Nicolas Fafiotte’s dress is one of my favorite of this year, and what to say about the jewelry! Everything turned out perfectly and the day ended with the amazing band! What a day to remember!

Nina & Hide came all the way from Japan to tie the knot in Paris, for a wedding day that ticks every box you might ever have dreamed of. A beautiful historical venue in Paris near The Elysee Palace. Luscious blush florals we can’t stop thinking about. And finally dancing the night away with your new spouse in a gilt-edged ballroom. This black tie affair has it all in spades!
This entire affair, looks like a fairy tale, from a ceremony to the reception at Cercle De L’Union Interalliée.
Luxury wedding in Paris
The Union Interalliée was founded in 1917, at the time of the official entry of the United States into the war, just after the voluntary aviators from the La Fayette flight, who had come to increase the number of those who were fighting for the same cause on French soil.
The founders of the Union Interalliée (the Count of Beaumont, Paul Dupuy, the Count J. de Bryas, Arthur Meyer, MJ of Sillac) suggested establishing a place of welcome providing moral and material resources to the officers and personalities of the Allied nations, in order to develop the allied life that had just begun.
Thanks to the support they received from several statesmen, ambassadors and field marshals and the assistance from new collaborators (Count of Andigne, Bardac, du Breuil Saint-Germain, André Citroën, L. Dumontet, the Count of Fels, who created, along with the former, the directing committee, chaired by Vice Admiral Fournier), they founded the Union Interalliée in one of the most beautiful mansions in Paris, the hotel Henri de Rothschild, which had been generously offered to them.

Wedding photography in Paris – Destination wedding Paris
Nina & Hide met in May 2012 for the first time, around a dinner table in a Parisien bistro with our mutual friends. Hide was in Paris for Roland Garros and Nina was living in Paris hunting for her restaurant location.
Hide proposed to Nina on top of the Empire State Building on Nina’s birthday. Hide was nervous and acting strange for about 10 minutes before popping the question :)A very romantic and magical moment for Hide and Nina.
They felt that a place in France would be a great venue to symbolize their union with elegance & character, and would make it perfect to welcome both families coming from abroad in a charming french location.
They chose Cercle de l’Union interalliée. It was perfect for the wedding as it could accomodate all the guests in the venue, and allows to spend the entire night in Paris. I have been shooting weddings a few times there and I must confess that it is a great location for wedding photography in Paris.
Getting married in Paris
Paris is a breathtaking city with many tourist attractions. The city is quite compact and can be easily visited on foot or by public transportation. Taxis in Paris are fairly reliable, however, Uber is also available and is usually more convenient and less expensive than a regular taxi.
Some of the popular sites include the Eiffel Tour, Notre Dame Cathedral, Sainte-Chapelle, Champs-Elysées, Arc de Triomphe and Montmartre.
There are one too many museums not to be missed: Le Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Musée de l’Orangerie, Musée de Picasso, Musée de Rodin, Centre Georges Pompidou.
As for evening entertainment, Opera and Ballet are classic options. For cabaret lovers, Moulin Rouge and Crazy Horse are fantastico!
For many of our athletic friends, a jog along the Seine river is a must.
